Battery Basics
Compared to many other vehicle components, battery maintenance is fairly simple.
Watching out for warning signs that your battery health is failing can save you on repairs down the road. If your vehicle’s battery is more than 5 years old, or you experience any of the following symptoms, bring your vehicle in for a battery test:
- Clicking or buzzing when you turn on the vehicle ignition
- The vehicle is slow at starting or has trouble starting
- The eye (if equipped) on your battery is dark or clear
Even if your battery isn’t showing any symptoms, you can always request to add a battery test to your Spring or Fall maintenance service and save yourself peace of mind.
